Useful Gear for All Ingress Players

In the previous two posts, Gifts for Resistance players and Gifts for Enlightened players, we covered items that show faction pride, but there are also many other gifts for Ingress players that become useful to more dedicated (or addicted!) players too. These are gifts that any Ingress player will love. With winter approaching very fast in some areas of the world, waterproof and windproof clothing becomes necessary if your Ingress addict is going to stay warm whilst out hacking portals. The touch screen gloves are a great gift for any Ingress fan and also anyone who wants to use their phone without having to take off their gloves on icy days too.

Another problem that many Ingress players have is power supply – newer phones have pretty good battery life but Ingress does drain power fairly quickly. Having a fully charged power pack or the ability to recharge in a car between portals is a great asset. If your Ingress player has joined one of the many local Ingress groups, the chances are they will have organised outings and that’s when a 4 port car charger comes in really useful!

I haven’t included heavy winter coats or jackets, as the chances are, if you’re in an area that cold, you will have them already but windproof and waterproof gear of any sort is going to be a great benefit to all hardcore Ingress players and don’t forget sturdy footwear too!
